- This sounds great and very smliiar to a hummus that we do! I do want to mention though, that you can make a pretty awesome dip with many other kinds of beans too. We figured this out when we realized we didn't have chick peas on night.

Mom's chicken sandwich
- My mom barely made us this sandwich because of how fattening it was... pita, mayo, lettuce, sliced chicken breast, tomato, onion, green bell pepper(all thinly sliced) topped with American cheese and garlic sauce. Then roll it up put it in a George foreman grill till bread was nicely toasted and viola u have an AMAZING SANDWICH!

Buying pita bread
- I live in London, UK, and never buy pita from the major supermarkets. I can buy better pita much cheaper from local "ethnic" food stores.

Pita Bread and Tzatziki sauce
- Ever since going on a school trip to a Greek restaurant several years ago, I fell in love with Greek food-mainly Pita bread though. The opportunities are endless and wonderful. Imagine a plate with a Tzatziki sauce nested in the center while surrounding are toasted pita wedges and tomato frittata patties..YUM.

The healthy way to enjoy nachos!
- Substitute unhealthy corn chips for pita bread. Brush the pita breads with a tiny bit of olive oil, garlic and herbs. Slice and toast in the oven. Top with lean mince mixture. Add beans, low fat sour cream and grated cheese if desired... YUM! A favourite in our house!

Easy Msakhan
- Msakhan is an Arabic dish which is a layering of bread, sumac-spiced onions, roasted chicken, and sauce. We lightly toast our pitas (good idea for leftover pitas), then break them in half so they have a top and bottom and use one-half as the base for our msakhan. My wife and I grew up with our mothers making a fresh dough for msakhan, but I like utilizing our leftover pitas so preparing food isn't so time-consuming EVERY day.
