Making the Perfect Pita Bread

Combine water, yeast and sugar in small bowl until frothy.

Combine 1/2 cup warm water, 1 package of yeast, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Allow yeast to dissolve. Wait until yeast water turns frothy (10-15 minutes).
  1. Combine water, yeast and sugar in small bowl until frothy.
  2. Combine flour and salt in large bowl and add yeast water.
  3. Slowly add warm water.
  4. Mix dough.
  5. Knead dough.
  6. Place dough in oil coated bowl and allow to rise.
  7. Make into a rope and pinch off small pieces.
  8. Roll balls into circles with a rolling pin.
  9. Place on preheated baking sheet and bake for 4-6 minutes.
  10. Serve warm!
