By Saad Fayed, About.com

I love a good party, who doesn't - especially when the food is good and plenty. The Super Bowl presents one of the best ways to offer a relaxing, yet exciting opportunity to throw a party with great food with close friends. These snacks and appetizers are sure to please and impress guests who are probably expecting the standard chips and dip.

1. Hummus

Hummus is mashed chickpeas with lemon juice, tahini, and olive oil. Make it spicy by adding a little red pepper or cayenne. Hummus is a great alternative to salsa, without compromising a spicy dish. Serve with pita triangles.

2. Baba Ghannouj

Baba ghannouj is more than a nickname for Vince Vaughn in Wedding Crashers! It is a delicious eggplant dip. Baba ghannouj is one of the Middle East's most popular appetizers! It is simple to make and can be served with pita, chips or crackers.

3. Stuffed Grape Leaves

This hearty appetizer is sure to please any palette. Ground beef and rice with spices are rolled in a grape leaf and steamed to perfection. Yo may know them by Dolmas in Greek restaurants, or meschi or warak einab in Middle Eastern delis.

Feta cheese dip is one of those foods that you can't stop eating. You can dip taosted pita triangles, crackers, or chips. I persoanlly like dipping veggies with this simple dip.

5. Pita Bread

Although pita bread itself is not a snack or an appetizer by itself, it's great for dipping. Toast it in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes, cut it like a pizza and you have toasted pita triangles! Perfect for those who don't want to eat chips. Make your own, or buy it at your local supermarket.

6. Tabouleh

Tabouleh is a salad that is fun to eat. It literally become a finger food when you toss your fork and grab pita bread. Pieces of pita are the utensil and salad is scopped onto the pita and eaten. It's a fun way to eat a salad.

7. Falafel

Fry up some falafel for a filling appeatizer that will leave your guests satisfied, but not too full. Although falafel is fried, it's not heavy on the stomach.

8. Sambousek

Try these small meat pies that are full of flavor on your buffet spread. They are simple to prepare, and can be made a day ahead to save time.
