Carrots with cardamom is an excellent recipe for those who love cardamom. This carrot recipe is great for the holidays!
- 1 lb. baby carrots
- 3 cups of whole milk
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons carrots
- 2 tablespoons slivered almonds
In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients and mix well. Bring to a boil, being careful to stir frequently to avoid scolding the milk. Once you bring the milk to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and allow to simmer until the carrots are tender.
When carrots are tender, stir well, and drain. Garnish with slivered almonds and raisins. Serve immediately.
