Peanut Butter and Jelly Pita Bread Sandwiches

pita breadPB&J (peanut butter and jelly) is a fun way to eat an old favorite! Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are a staple for back to school lunches! Try this variation for your next lunch box meal!

For an interesting variation, try pomegranate jelly, instead of grape of strawberry jelly. The combination of peanut butter and pomegranate make fun and tasty change!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pita round
  • peanut butter or hazlenut spread
  • jelly, any flavor

Preparation:

Cut pita round in half.

With a butter knife, spread peanut butter inside the pita. Next, spread jelly with a spoon.

Repeat with other half of pita.

Serve with fresh carrot and celery sticks and favorite fresh fruit for a healthy, kid friendly lunch!
