Falafel

Definition: Falafel is a deep fried ball or patty that is made from chick peas or fava beans and spices. It is a vegetarian food, and is considered to be a fast food, often offered by street vendors.

Falafel is served with many types of sauces, including tahini or a falafel hot sauce. It can be served alone, or as in a falafel pita sandwich.
