Definition: Couscous is a semolina pasta that resembles rice. You can find it more commonly in North African cuisine in countries like Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco. In these countries, couscous is served instead of rice as a side dish.
Pronunciation: koos-koos
Examples:
Steamed couscous will accompany the chicken.
