Sage tea is perfect on cold, winter nights. It is also an excellent tea as it can be consumed for a variety of medicinal purposes. Sage is said to aid in digestion, as well as help alleviate sore throats. Sage in large doses in not recommended and should be avoided by women who are pregnant or nursing.
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons fresh sage leaves or 4 teaspoons dried sage
- 3 teaspoons loose black tea, or three black tea bags
- 4 1/2 cups water
- 5 tablespoons sugar
Preparation:
In a large saucepan, heat water to boiling. Place sage, black tea (loose or bags), and sugar in a teapot. Carefully pour water into teapot and gently stir.
All tea to brew for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour tea through strainer into teacups. Serve and enjoy!
