Baked quinces are a great fall dessert. Quinces are like an apple or pear, with a little more tartness.

Ingredients:
- 4 quinces
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1 cups sugar
- 3 cups warm water
Preparation:
Peel, core and cut quinces in half. Place in 9x12 baking dish, flesh side up. Cover each quince half generously with butter. Sprinkle with sugar. Fill baking dish with water.Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until quinces are a golden color and soft.
Allow to sit 15 minutes prior to serving.
Serve with ice cream, whipped cream or by itself.
