This dip from Saudi Arabia is perfect for dipping dates. Serve hot with dates.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cups shortening
- 2 cups dates, pitted
Preparation:
In a medium saucepan, combine flour and shortening over medium heat.Stir constantly, and be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of pan to prevent sticking.
Serve immediately with pitted dates.
Note: This date dip cannot be saved or prepared ahead of time. It should only be served hot.
