Fried Fava Beans

By , About.com Guide

Fried fava beans were my favorite snack as a child. They were sold in stores with different flavors like curry and peppered. They are the most addicitve, yet healthy snack!

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • fava beans (soaked overnight and peeled if not peeled)
  • vegetable oil
  • salt

Preparation:

Heat oil to 350 in a frying pan. Place desired amount of fava beans in oil and fry for about 3 minutes or until goden brown in color. Drain on paper towel and salt.

Fried fava beans can be stored in an airtight container in your pantry for up to a week.
