When I think of autumn, pumpkins are the first thing that come to my mind. My wife loves to decorate the house with pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors, while I love to cook with them. One of my favorite recipes for fall is pumpkin hummus. It's easy, it's tasty, and most of all, it's healthy. Using canned hummus and other traditional hummus ingredients, I can easily whip up a batch in 10 minutes. Serve it with cinnamon pita chips or warmed pita bread sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, and you have a snack the whole family will love.
Thanks my wife, Mrs. F., who suggested I serve the hummus in a hollowed out, clean pumpkin. I am not talking about a large, carving pumpkin, but a smaller pumpkin that can hold about 4 cups of hummus. It's a great hit for fall get-togethers and Halloween parties. Try it this month and you won't be disappointed!
