Bet you didn't know that there are over 100 different varieties of cucumbers! Actually, before a little research, I had no clue that there were that many! I just assumed that the types of cucumbers offered in my produce section were the only varieties. Boy, was I wrong!
You will likely only see two different types of cucumbers in your supermarket -- slicers and English cucumbers. After you have had both, you realize that not all cucumbers are created equal. The slicer and English taste quite different from each other. I prefer the English, while my wife likes the slicer. You can only imagine how it is making salad at my house! What's the difference between an English cucumber and a slicer cucumber?

Various recipes are made with cucumbers…hummus has so many I can’t count..health is very important & eating the correct type food should be #1 on the menu? My wife & I will strive to eat better….And I hope, all others will as well……
