If you are a seasoned pomegranate consumer, then you obviously know how to eat the fruit. I want you to think back to the first time you bought a pomegranate -- did you know how to de-seed it and what part of the fruit to eat? If you are like me, probably not. When I first de-seeded a pomegranate for the first time, I made such a mess. I stained my clothes and just about everything around me. (FYI -- pomegranate stains do not come out!) It looked like a deep red/purple massacre. But, I got better with each piece of fruit and today, I could de-seed a pomegranate in a white tuxedo without worrying about a single drop of the juice getting on me.
For all pom newbies, I created a step by step picture tutorial that will teach you how to de-seed a pomegranate. Under each picture, there are written instructions and some great pomegranate recipes. I hope it will invite you to eat more pomegranates, one of my favorite fall fruits. Step-By-Step: How to De-Seed a Pomegranate
