Besides the taste, the best part of Middle Eastern desserts is that they aren't too sweet. In fact, sometimes it take the western palate time to get accustomed to the taste of Middle Eastern desserts because they aren't as sugary as what they are used to.

    I’ve never seen sigara boregi as a dessert. In Turkey, it is a meze, and I’ve seen it this way in Middle Eastern restaurants as well. It is definitely savory, not sweet.

    That’s actually what it says in the description. That’s kinda weird that they list it in Middle Eastern Desserts though.

    It’s reassuring to hear that these desserts are guaranteed to be a concersation starter. I usually have a tough time getting good concersation going at group events. Now conversations, I got those on lock down.
